E poi è febbraio è un lavoro dal valore simbolico in cui delle ciotole di ceramica inserite all'interno di una struttura, rivisitano il sistema di significazione del Quadrato Magico con il quale si restituisce il numero ventotto. All'interno di ogni ciotola il cotone forma una figura geometrica più o meno regolare che rimanda al numero corrispondente alla sua posizione per poi essere sommato agli altri dando la cifra 28.

Il valore simbolico del numero è molto ricco ed ampio ma prima di tutto la scelta è stata fatta in quanto data di morte di mia madre e numero che è sempre stato molto presente nella sua vita. Oltre a ciò si posso citare alcuni rimandi del n° 28 come espressione dell'unità primordiale rappresentata nel primo verso della Bibbia composto da ventotto lettere, è il numero della dentizione mista, il numero delle falangi, falangine e falangette delle dieci dita, il numero delle consonanti dell'afabeto arabo...e si potrebbe così continuare.

And then it’s February is a work of symbolic value where the ceramic bowls placed inside a structure reinterpret the signification system of the Magic Square in which the number twenty-eight is the recurring result. Inside each bowl, the cotton forms a more or less regular geometric figure that refers to the number corresponding to its position, which is then summed to all the others to add up to 28.

The number has a very deep and wide symbolic value but, most importantly, I chose it since it is the day on which my mother died, and a number that was always present in her life. In addition to this, I can mention a few references of the number 28 as expression of the primordial unit represented in the first verse of the Bible made of twenty-eight letters, it is the number of mixed dentition, the number of phalanxes, middle phalanxes and distal phalanxes of the ten fingers, the number of consonants in the Arabic alphabet...and so on.
