Il lavoro nasce dalla storia di Tamar figlia di re Davide che viene violentata dal fratello. Il racconto si trova nella Bibbia all'interno del secondo libro di Samule, capitolo 13.

È la storia triste di tante donne che subiscono violenza dentro le mura di casa. Una storia che continua a ripetersi negli anni e nei secoli. La casa che dovrebbe essere luogo di cura e di amore è ribaltata divenendo nera e scura come il fondo di una tomba. All'interno c'è una forma corporea che ricorda un corpo deposto e da cui esce una registrazione in cui vengono elencate le 115 donne, vittime di violenza, uccise in Italia nel 2016.

This project is inspired by the story of Tamar, King David’s daughter, who was raped by her brother. The tale is told in the Bible, Second Book of Samuel, Chapter 13.

It is the sad story of many women who are abused within the walls of their own home. A story that constantly repeats itself over the years and over the centuries. The home, which should be a place of love and care, is overturned and becomes dark and black like the bottom of a tomb. Inside there is a body-like shape that reminds  a laid-down body which emits a recording that lists the 115 women, victims of violence, killed in Italy in 2016.
